Mental Health Awareness Week - Online Study Sessions

By CGordon 08 May 2022

Mental Health Awareness Week is from 9th - 15th May and this year the theme is loneliness.

The Mental Health Foundation have found that student loneliness is the strongest overall predictor of mental distress in the student population and 88% of Brits aged 18-24 said they experience loneliness to some degree, with 24% experiencing it often.

Exam time can be particularly lonely and stressful, so the Living Support Team have organised online study sessions so that you have some company while you revise or work on assignments.

  • Date: Monday 9th to Friday 13th
  • Time: 4-6pm
  • Zoom link
  • Zoom ID: 934 1502 0232
  • Password: UofGHalls

We will be using the Pomodoro technique, which involves 25 minutes of silent studying followed by a 5 minute break for chatting and relaxing. We'll do this four times before finishing up, with some time to socialise at the end.
